Sophia Streams is the artist name for songwriter/producer Heather Choate Davis, who started “hearing songs” at 58 and, with no music background, set out to learn everything she could to make them known. She doesn’t perform her own music which gives her great freedom to play in a lot of different genres and work with many different artists. Shane Welter is a worship leader, choral director, actor and performer in the band Shore Lane. He and his wife, Lauren, who sings the haunting female solo in Requiem in the City, live in Federal Way, WA. Heather, Shane and Lauren are all members of The Songwriter Initiative at Concordia University, Irvine where the Welters did their undergraduate study in music, and Heather did her MA in Theology.
