I live in Marseille in the south of France and I’m not a professional musician. I am self-taught and passionate about music since the age of 12. At 20, I discovered jazz and decided to devote myself to it by playing standards in trio and quartet with other musician friends. The Covid came along in 2020 and I decided to find other ways to collaborate with others, especially through the production of acappellas of artists from various backgrounds found on the internet.

How long have you been creating music?

I’ve been trying to collaborate with other artists for two years, finding inspiring acapella to harmonize.

Do you have a preferred genre?

Jazz, Soul and Bossa Nova

Tell us about your latest song, EP, or album.

While looking for ways to save space on a hard drive, I realized that I had never listened to a melody I had downloaded a year before, performed by a very talented singer. The artist’s voice inspired me in a few seconds, and a harmonization came to my ears. 2 days later, the song was ready.

Are there any challenging aspects to writing and/or recording your music?

Writing music like I did for Better is quite challenging since I started with only a voice. You have to reinvent everything around it. Sometimes it’s easy, sometimes not. You have to be inspired to write a song which will inspire others or at least give them emotion.

Has your style evolved since the beginning of you career?

My friends called me “the Taliban of music” since it was so difficult for me to listen to music other than jazz. Things evolved and I slowly replaced technical listening with emotion. I listen and write in different styles now.

What do you enjoy most about being a musician?

Sharing an emotion, even the slightest one. The greatest moments are when performing a live improvisation with the members of your band.

Playing live or recording in studio? Do you have a preference?

Live but I can find some good vibes creating in my humble home studio.

Do you have a preference… vinyl records, cassettes, CDs, or downloads?

I prefer vinyl records.

Are there any musicians who inspire you? What qualities do you admire about them?

Miles Davis, Chick Corea, Bill Evans, Stevie Wonder for their genius as composers, and women singers like Ella, Sarah Vaughan, Nina Simone because they were real musicians.

Would you like to travel to other countries to perform your music? If so, what would be your first stop?

I don’t know

Are you currently working on any projects we should look out for?

For now, I’m looking for new collaborations with other artists.

Is there something you would like to say, that we didn’t cover?

Not really. I just hope people will enjoy the music I produce 😉
